Digipack Ideas

We will be using a dark background for continuity reasons and to make our titles stand out alot more. We have used neon colours for our titles and wording to link into with our genre. The main idea behind our digipak is to create mystery and interst for our audience to keep them hooked this is why we have selected a white mask because its an unusual and different idea and it creates curiosity in our viewers. We selected glow sticks becuase it links in with the video and they act like strobe lights.

Risk Assessment

There are a few risks we need to take into consideration when we start filming our music video that may cause injury or damage to actors and equipment:

Because we are doing alot of filming at dusk leading into the dark night there are tripping hazards when running around such as tripods and other people. Also as we are filming in a public area we need to take into consideration passers by who may be walking there dogs etc.

Injury can be caused by running around which is vital in our video as it gets our main character from A to B however, running around can caused sprained ankles or broken bones for tripping.

There is also a risk of illness, this is because we are doing our filming at the start of winter so temperatures are dropping so actors are required to wear warm clothing to prevent getting ill and all filming and time spent outdoors will be taken with care for our actors.

There's a matter of concern when using glow sticks as if they are snapped wrong they can split, this can cause pain if the liquid gets into peoples eyes and cuts. The masks can also cause injury becuase they are plastic if the plastic splits it could cut peoples faces or fingers.

Tarantula - Pendulum

Black tarantula, time for the massive come sing ya
Black tarantula, don't play with my style I might sting ya
Black tarantula, you want me inject me bacteria
And if ya body goin' stiff and your spine goin' numb
Now come fi get some...

Massive! Time to fix you up something here right now!

Shotta, hitter, serial killer
Go-a your funeral and all drink out your liquor
When you are bury we a-stand next to vicar
Fling on some dirt and make your bury a little quicker
Shouldn't test the youth them in the Tommy Hilfiger
Hug up ya mama, say sorry to ya poppa
All-a get number for ya little sister
I true be cold like Alaska freezer

Black tarantula, time for the massive come sing ya

Chosen Pitch

Our video starts off with a group of friends setting up a camp in a field. A cut away is used to show a fast shutter speed transition of the sky from morning to afternoon. A cut back to the camp shows them all set up sat around a campfire. Another cutaway is used to the sky transitioning from afternoon to night. A pan out from the fire shows a close up of a couple talking. The conversation is continues showing the girls emotion drop. She starts to get upset and gets up and walks away from the situation. Feeling weak and drowsy he girl falls against a tree, knocking her back making her fall to the ground. As she does this a figure walks towards her. She looks up to find a man in a white mask staring at her. Motioning her to follow him he runs back to where he once came. As she looks in the distance she sees lots of little lights through blurry eyes. The chorus kicks in and we see her wandering around the new clearing feeling confused as figures appear from the shadows of the trees. They start running around her with bright light issuing from her hands. During the next verse we see flashbacks of when she was at the campsite, we notice her drink being spiked by her other friends whilst she’s in deep conversation with her partner. The chorus kicks in again this time the girl is frightened by the figures in masks. The 3rd verse starts but a rewind is used to go back over the past this is used to the girl seem dizzy in which she collapses to the ground.

Our Three Pitches

Pitch 1
Our first idea was that we would used a nightclub scene and that we'd have a teenaged girl getting picked on by a bully from school whilst on a night out and then seeking her out during the night to get her own back. Then it back firing and the bully ends up dieing because of the drug the teenaged girl spiked her drink with.

Pitch 2
Our second idea was to have little lego men in a wardrobe, and to have someone walk by the room they were in and hearing music, Tranatula by Pendulum. Curious, they would enter the room and find the source of the sound being from inside the wardrobe opening the wardrobe they dicover the lego men dancing and having a mini disco in the wardrobe.

Pitch 3
Our third idea is that the main character teenaged girl is at a camp out party then gets her drink spiked then she starts seeing people in white masks and begins to have hallucinations. And sees glowing lights everywhere, then at the end of the video she passes out surrounded by the masked people.

Music Video Analysis

This is a midshot shown after a zoom in to capture the drummer and the crowds reaction in the background.
This is a long esablishing shot of the crowd from behind panning around the setting.
This is the single liht bulb used in this drum that flashes to the beat of the music being produced.
This shot was taken at a low angle to show the power
the singer has over the audience.
This shot shows a cutaway from the crowds reaction to the the band playing the music focusing on the drum kit being played  and the single lightbulb highlighting this reaction.

This is a low angle mid shot to show the band in a 3 point shot.

This shows a slow motion shot of a crowd surf.

This shows a close up shot of the lead singer singing into his microphone from a side angle.

This shot also shows the crowds reaction to the music being played.

I chose these two shots to signify the props used in the video, these being the instruments being played and the microphone being used by the lead singer.
